Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a dedicated Paralegal in Newton, Massachusetts. This role revolves around the legal industry, where you will be tasked with a range of responsibilities including assisting with discovery, preparing financial statements, and reviewing documents. Responsibilities: • Organize and transfer files to collaborate with other lawyers • Utilize your skills in Family Law and Civil Litigation to assist with discovery • Create essential legal documents and understand the importance of specific evidence • Prepare for trials by conducting client interviews and identifying potential clients • Exhibit high organization skills to maintain precise customer credit records • Occasionally review documents and work on projects that arise on short notice • Leverage your billing skills to ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications. Requirements • Possession of a paralegal certificate or equivalent legal education. • Proven experience in the legal industry, particularly as a paralegal. • Proficiency in Family Law, managing cases and providing legal support. • Demonstrated expertise in Civil Litigation, including preparing legal documents and court filings. • Experience in Document Review, analyzing legal documents for accuracy and relevance. • Familiarity with legal Billing procedures and software, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing. • Proficiency in Discovery process, including gathering, organizing and analyzing information. • Excellent written and oral communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. • Proficiency in using legal research tools and software. • A keen eye for detail and a high level of accuracy in work output.
