What you will do: The Paralegal is a self-motivated and highly organized professional who works closely with the attorneys and administrative staff in the Legal Department as well as team members in other functions to accomplish the Legal Department’s work. Specific duties include: Researching federal and state law and conducting generalized internet research for benchmarking and other purposes Reviewing and analyzing legal correspondence and pleadings received by the company and directing as appropriate Directing and coordinating responses to subpoenas and administrative requests for information Organizing and maintaining electronic database of corporate registrations/DBA filings and partnering with third-party vendor regarding preparation of annual renewals and other required corporate filings Organizing and maintaining Legal department records in both paper and electronic format Reviewing and analyzing commercial contracts, real estate documents, and other legal documents, and preparing legal memoranda or written summaries thereof Drafting legal notices and other legal correspondence in accordance with applicable statutes, regulations, administrative and judicial decisions, policies, and national labor agreements Assisting attorneys in developing policies and procedures and standard legal document templates. Other paralegal duties as assigned What you will bring: Bachelor’s degree or associate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field required Minimum 5-7 years of experience Paralegal, administrative and legal document drafting skills Excellent verbal and written communications skills Self-starter, positive and proactive Ability to balance multiple, competing priorities Highly organized with strong project management skills Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
