Description We are seeking a seasoned Paralegal/Legal Assistant with 3-5 years of experience to join our dynamic and collaborative team. This role is ideal for a self-starter who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and adaptable. While the position has a strong legal focus, you’ll also provide administrative support to ensure the smooth functioning of our operations. Responsibilities: • Draft and prepare corporate meeting minutes and maintain minute books for corporate governance. • Assist with filing leases with local governments, including international jurisdictions such as the UK. • Support the legal department with administrative tasks, including scheduling, correspondence, and file organization. • Coordinate the preparation and filing of K-1 forms for investors. • Conduct data entry, manage legal documentation, and ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations. • Provide support for corporate and tax matters, as needed. • Serve as a Connecticut Notary (or be willing to obtain credentials) to meet business requirements. • Collaborate with multiple departments and act as a reliable team player in achieving organizational goals. Qualifications: • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. Paralegal certification is a plus. • Experience: 3-5 years of professional experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant. Candidates with a legal background and a strong attention to detail are highly preferred. • Skills: o Exceptional organizational and time-management skills. o Strong written and verbal communication abilities. o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel). o Ability to multi-task and handle administrative duties alongside legal work. • Bonus: Experience with leases, corporate governance, or tax filings (such as K-1 forms) is a plus. Soft Skills: • A go-getter attitude and willingness to take on diverse responsibilities. • Team player mentality with a cooperative and collaborative outlook. • Open to learning and growing within the position. • Comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced environments with global implications. Requirements: • The ideal candidate must not be "married" to just paralegal work but embrace the opportunity to support various administrative tasks. • Connecticut Notary Public certification is highly desired or a willingness to obtain one upon hire. Requirements • Possession of a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role. • Proficient in Calendar Management, ensuring deadlines, appointments, and meetings are appropriately scheduled. • Ability to Compose Correspondence with a high level of professionalism and accuracy. • Experience in conducting Annual Filings, demonstrating a keen understanding of legal and compliance requirements. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, to efficiently manage tasks and documentation.
