Description
Responsibilities:
+ Case Management & Investigations: Manages and prioritizes Title IX and DHR cases, conducts fair and impartial investigations, and ensures compliance with university policies and CSU Executive Orders.
+ Interviewing & Reporting: Conducts interviews with parties and witnesses, gathers evidence, and prepares detailed investigation reports with findings.
+ Compliance & Record-Keeping: Maintains accurate records, ensures compliance with federal and state reporting mandates, and assists in statistical reporting.
+ Campus Engagement: Collaborates with students, faculty, staff, and administrators to foster a safe and inclusive environment.
+ Training & Prevention: Assists in developing and delivering training on Title IX, discrimination, harassment, and related policies.
+ Policy Enforcement & Resolution: Supports informal resolutions when appropriate and identifies systemic issues to improve campus policies and practices.
+ Independent Work & Discretion: Works autonomously, exercises sound judgment, and maintains confidentiality in handling sensitive matters
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
+ Expertise in Title IX, Clery Act, VAWA, FERPA, EEO, ADA, and related laws.
+ Strong investigative skills, including interviewing and report writing.
+ Knowledge of social justice and cultural competence principles.
+ Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion.
+ Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
+ Commitment to due process, fairness, and ethical conduct.
+ Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
+ Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, and Zoom.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Juris Doctor (JD) with 2+ years of law firm or equivalent legal experience.
+ 2+ years’ experience in Student Conduct, Title IX, DHR, EEO, or employee relations investigations.
+ Experience in higher education (preferably public institutions).
+ Certification in Title IX, Civil Rights, or Workplace Investigations.
+ Advanced training in workplace investigation best practices.
+ Proficiency with Maxient or similar case management software.
