Description Established family law firm is seeking a Paralegal to join their team in Walnut Creek, California. This role involves providing support to attorneys in various aspects of family law cases, including, but not limited to divorce, child custody, spousal support, and adoption matters. You will be expected to maintain a high degree of organization and attention to detail in managing and processing legal documents and information. Responsibilities: • Manage and assist attorneys in family law cases, with a focus on ensuring that all necessary actions are taken in a timely manner. • Organize, draft, and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and declarations. • Ensure all case files are organized, current, and maintained in accordance with standard legal practices. • Conduct thorough legal research and gather relevant case information for attorneys to use in their case preparations. • Communicate effectively with a range of individuals including clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and third parties. • Manage attorney calendars effectively, scheduling and coordinating hearings, mediations, and depositions. • Utilize e-filing and e-discovery techniques as necessary to support case work. • Utilize your skills in Calendar Management, Family Law, Dissolutions, and Draft Pleadings to ensure effective handling of all assigned tasks. Requirements • Proficiency in Calendar Management to schedule and keep track of all appointments, deadlines, and court dates. • Solid understanding and experience in Family Law, assisting attorneys in all aspects and stages of family law cases. • Experience with Dissolutions, including drafting, filing, and managing related paperwork. • Ability to Draft Pleadings, including motions, responses, and other court documents, under the guidance of supervising attorneys.
