Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Paralegal in the legal industry, located in Midland, Texas. As a Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our legal team, handling a variety of tasks including managing attorney calendars, preparing legal documents, and assisting with trial preparation. Responsibilities • Utilizing LexisNexis, Microsoft Excel, and other Microsoft Office Suites to perform various tasks • Organizing and managing the calendar for an attorney, ensuring efficient scheduling and time management • Proactively finding solutions and managing tasks effectively to aid the smooth running of the legal office • Applying litigation paralegal skills and experience in assisting with legal cases • Assisting the legal team in preparing for trials, though our firm is not trial-heavy • Leveraging tech savviness to streamline office operations and procedures • Collaborating with the team and fostering a positive, can-do attitude in the workplace • Handling billing functions and dictation tasks as required • Ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation is maintained at all times. Requirements • Candidate must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a paralegal role. • Must be proficient in LexisNexis for legal research and case management. • Competence in using Microsoft Excel is required for data management and analysis. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, including Word and PowerPoint, is essential for document creation and presentations. • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook is necessary for efficient email and calendar management. • Capability to handle billing functions is essential for managing client invoices and payments. • Experience in briefing is required for presenting case summaries and legal arguments. • Skilled in calendar management to organize and schedule meetings, court dates, and deadlines. • Proficiency in dictation is necessary for transcribing legal proceedings accurately. • Must have experience in documentation for maintaining accurate and organized legal files. • Litigation Paralegal experience is essential for assisting attorneys in the preparation for trials and hearings.
