We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a diligent Paralegal to join our team in Arlington, Virginia. This role involves a variety of responsibilities including processing legal documents, managing calendars, and communicating effectively. Responsibilities:
• Utilize Case Management Software for efficient organization and management of legal cases
• Operate Aderant software for various billing functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Handle briefing duties, summarizing complex legal documents for easy comprehension by the team
• Manage calendars effectively, coordinating appointments and meetings to ensure smooth workflow
• Administer claims, ensuring all procedures and protocols are adhered to
• Use Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) for accessing and understanding city register information
• Employ Adobe Acrobat for document creation and editing, maintaining a high level of precision
• Communicate effectively within the team and with clients, maintaining professionalism at all times
• Use CompuLaw for effective calendar management and deadline calculations.
Requirements • Possess proficiency in using Aderant software for legal practice and financial management.
• Display high proficiency in Adobe Acrobat for document creation and editing.
• Demonstrate familiarity with Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) for real estate transactions.
• Exhibit skills in using Case Management Software to manage, track, and resolve legal cases.
• Show proficiency in CompuLaw for effective management of deadlines and court rules.
• Understand and perform legal billing functions efficiently.
• Possess the ability to draft and prepare legal briefs.
• Show expertise in calendar management, scheduling legal appointments, court dates, and deadlines.
• Demonstrate experience in claim administration, including filing and tracking legal claims.
• Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills for seamless interaction with clients, attorneys, and court officials.
