The Paralegal-Employment Litigation Support provides critical litigation support and oversees matter management for the Legal Department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: + Provides litigation support to the Legal Department + Responsible for matter management in the labor and employment practice area + Coordinates document production and partners with outside counsel in litigation matters + Conducts document, factual and legal research in connection with new and ongoing legal matters + Conducts investigations, interviews, witnesses and gathers evidence related to various legal issues (i.e. discrimination, wage and hour, non-compete, and other employment law areas) + Assists in drafting Company responses to administrative agencies (i.e. state and federal Department of Labor, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) + Assists in coordinating government audit responses + Drafts and reviews various legal documents, correspondence, and communications + Acts as a liaison between the Legal Department and other internal departments to support litigation and investigation efforts + May respond to or assist in responses to team member inquiries to the Legal Department + Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements: + Paralegal certificate required + College degree preferred, but not required + Three to five (3-5) years of legal experience related to employment law in either a law firm or in- house setting preferred + Ability to work independently with minimal supervision + Excellent organizational, written and verbal skills, with the ability to quickly analyze issues and craft practical, business-oriented solutions + Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and to consistently meet deadlines with high-quality work product in a fast-paced environment + Ability to interact and communicate effectively with all areas and levels of the organization and outside counsel + Ability to use judgment, tact, and discretion + Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.) + Excellent communication skills + Ability to interact effectively with all areas and levels of the organization + Proficiency in the English language required Pay Information $60,000-$62,000 + 5,000K annually Maxim Benefits: Health and Wellness Medical/Prescription, Dental, Vision, Health Advocacy (company paid if enrolled Medical) and Health Advocate Employee Assistance Program Retirement and Financial Security: Employee Assistance Program, Health Savings Account, 401(k) + Company Match, Profit Sharing, Short and Long Term Disability, Primary Caregiver Leave, Parental Leave, Life and Basic Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance, Voluntary Group Life Insurance and Supplemental Accidental Insurance, Hospital Expense Protection Plan, Critical Illness Insurance, Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account, Home and Auto Insurance discounts, Pet Insurance and Legal benefits Lifestyle Benefits: Paid Time Off and Company Paid Holidays, Transportation Benefits, Educational Assistance Program, College Partnership Program and Employee Discount Program *Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.
