Job Description
Paralegal - legal assistant to Legal Department in a communications / telecommunications company located in the United States. Will work in the Philippines.
General Duties
· Review, redline, comment and prepare checklists for vendor and other business contracts. Assist with agreement template updates. Communicate effectively with the General Counsel, contracts administrator paralegal, and Special Pricing Department.
· Perform due diligence research and finalize letters for collection matters.
· Prepare royalties reports / packages regarding intellectual property licensing.
· Assist with corporate Board minutes, including initial drafting and distribution.
· Research, assemble relevant documents, and produce timelines in support of responding to regulatory inquiries, settlement agreements, and contested business matters.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
Desired Requirements
· Minimum of 3 years paralegal experience, preferably business transactional experience and/or ligation support. May consider two years of relevant work experience and/or a legal degree in lieu of paralegal experience.
· College degree.
· Excellent command of English, both oral and written.
· Proficiency with English punctuation and grammar. Ability to proofread an English document.
· Strong drafting skills.
· Knowledge of Windows, Excel, Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat required.
· Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with employees at all levels.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required.
· Must have excellent analytical skills, initiative and ability to work autonomously while remaining a strong and supportive member of the legal team.
· Litigation experience is a plus, but not required.
