Paralegal - Transaction Support

We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to join our Manhattan team and provide crucial transaction support. In this role, you will work closely with our real estate agents, legal department, and external partners to ensure the seamless coordination and execution of real estate transactions. You will play a critical part in making sure Redfin clients have an exceptional experience from contract negotiation through to closing.

The role:

Assist Redfin agents and cooperating attorneys in preparing, reviewing, and organizing legal documents such as purchase agreements, title documents, and closing statements.Coordinate transaction timelines, ensuring all parties meet contractual obligations and deadlines.Perform due diligence, including title searches, zoning verifications, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Prepare comprehensive co-op board packages, ensuring that all required documentation is complete and accurate, and liaising with buyers and agents to finalize submissions.Communicate with buyers, sellers, title companies, lenders, and other external parties to facilitate clear and timely communication throughout the transaction process.Assist in identifying and escalating legal or regulatory issues that rise during the transaction processMaintain accurate records and documentation for all real estate deals, adhering to Redfin’s standards of integrity and transparency.Support the legal team in litigation avoidance, compliance matters, and other real estate-related legal tasks.

  
About you:  

Paralegal certification or equivalent experience.3+ years of experience in real estate law/transaction support, ideally with a focus on transactions in Manhattan or other major urban markets.Knowledge of local and state real estate laws, zoning regulations, and industry practices.Experience preparing co-op board packages and familiarity with co-op regulations.Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with agents, attorneys, and external partners.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and real estate transaction management software.

The compensation information below is provided in compliance with all applicable disclosure requirements.

Base Pay Range: $33.90 - 50.80. Actual base pay will depend on varying circumstances, including the position, location, individual qualifications, market finances, and other operational business needs. Compensation may also include bonuses and equity.
