Job DescriptionPosition Purpose1.  To define the role of paramedics employed by the hospital in the hospital setting. 2.  The Paramedic position is a supportive role that facilitates the delivery of excellent care to our patients through clerical, clinical and receptionist roles.  3. Should only practice within scope and abide by hospital policy.   Position QualificationsEducation:1.  Ability to communicate effectively with patients, peers, physicians and visitors. Knowledge of accepted paramedic standards and proactive.2. Knowledge of basic pharmacology Experience 1.  Desired characteristics include at least three (3) years of field and or flight experience as a licensed paramedic.2.  Must be able to follow directions and to perform work according to department standards when no directions are given.3.  Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.4.  Possess the ability to learn medical and pharmacological terminology. Licenses/Certifications:1. Must hold a current license to practice as a Registered Paramedic in the State of New Mexico.                                                                                               2. BLS,PALS, ACLS required prior to hire
