Get to Know Your Team: BSA provides 24-hour paramedic care through our ambulance service, which responds to emergencies in Canyon and 825 square miles of Randall County. BSA EMS staffs two stations 24/7/365, one in northern Randall County and one in Canyon. Responsibilities Primarily responsible for providing emergency care and transportation of the sick and injured in accordance with established BSA Health System Policies, Department Guidelines and Patient Care Protocols. Safely operates emergency vehicles in compliance with all laws, BSA Policies and Department Guidelines. Accepts other tasks assigned by the Shift Commander, EMS Division Supervisor or Paramedicine Services Director. Qualifications Job Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent Certification or licensure as an EMT-Paramedic by the Texas Department of State Health Services American Heart Association Healthcare Provider completion Valid minimum Class C Texas Driver License with restriction “A” permissible Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) completion within 80 days of employment Pre Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) completion within 80 days of employment Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP) completion within 80 days of employment Completion of the following Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency National Incident Management System (NIMS) courses: IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800.A is required within 80 days of employment Preferred Job Requirements: Field experience National Registry Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS) completion Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) completion Critical Care Emergency Medical Transport Program (CCEMTP) completion.
