Responsibilities

Completion of Advanced EMT or Paramedic Certification required; plus high school diploma or equivalent.The EDT IV/Paramedic participates in the provision of patient care based on appropriate training and acuity of patient care needs.Performs patient care within scope of practice as defined by State and National levels as well as CHS approved skills and competencies.The Paramedic participates in the provision of patient care based on appropriate training and acuity of patient care needs. Ensures a safe, comfortable, therapeutic environment for patients and families and collaborates with the care team in contribution to quality outcomes.Assists with patient transfers and repositioning, transporting of patients, supplies, or specimens; and any other duties as deemed necessary to ensure optimal patient care and physician service, under the direction and supervision of the professional nurse.
