Position Name: **Medical Support Specialist - Paramedic or EMT-P** Location: **Vancouver, WA** - 98662 Employment Type: Direct-Hire & Permanent Setting: Outpatient/Plasma **Pay** $29-$31 per hour **Shift** - Full Time (40 hours; 8-hour shifts) - Tuesday-Sunday _Center Hours (shifts will vary):_ Tuesday-Thursday: 9am-7pm Friday: 9am-5pm Saturday: 7am-3pm Sunday: 8am-3pm **Qualifications** _Required:_ - WA Paramedic or EMT-P license (or in the process of obtaining) - BLS Certification _Preferred:_ - Plasma knowledge - Phlebotomy or Venipuncture skills - Bilingual **Application Guidelines** - _Professional Stability:_ 2+ years in recent roles preferred. - _Complete Resume:_ Full work history with job title, company, dates (month/year), and responsibilities for each role. - _Serious Applicants:_ Incomplete applications or frequent unexplained job changes may be disqualified. **Job Duties** - You will assess donor eligibility, which includes managing informed consent, providing AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, conducting medical history interviews and acceptance checks, performing physical examinations, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE) results. - You will assess donor reactions occurring at the facility as specified in the SOPs. Follow the relevant SOPs for medical emergencies, including the implementation of the Center Physician's standing orders and arranging donor transport to emergency care facilities. - Team up with the Center Physician or Medical Affairs (as applicable) when in need of providing unacceptable findings to donors, or guidance concerning medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility. - Champion vaccination Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable. - Master the art of incident management. You will evaluate donor reactions at the facility in accordance with the SOPs.
