11132 Paramedic STRHS-Lawrenceburg Job Description 06.16.20Responds to calls for emergency medical services and provides patient care as directed and/or determined necessary.

Administers emergency medical care within scope of practice, including patient stabilization, monitoring, and resuscitation.Contacts medical personnel, reports/records observations, and follows directives from supervising Physician or Registered Nurse.Administers medication within scope of practicePerforms and assist with procedures within scope of practiceAssists with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean and orderly.
Job Requirements ?Minimum Education
Paramedic Technical Certification or Associates Degree - RequiredRequired Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Certifications:
BLS certification may be obtained within first week of orientation before patient care.

ACLS and PALS certification from approved American Heart Association training center required within 6 months of employment

Licenses: State of Tennessee Paramedic licensure - RequiredMinimum Work Experience
Experience in emergency services related field - Preferred
