Description Paraprofessional - 8:15am-2:45pm M-F We are looking for a dedicated Paraprofessional to support students with speech and language needs under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). This role involves assisting in therapy sessions, reinforcing communication skills, and fostering a supportive learning environment. Part-time hours are available. ### Key Responsibilities: - Assist the SLP in therapy sessions, reinforcing speech and language skills. - Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to support communication development. - Support students in articulation, fluency, voice, and expressive/receptive language activities. - Help implement Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices when needed. - Document student progress and provide feedback to the SLP and teachers. - Assist with classroom modifications to support speech and language learning. - Provide behavioral and emotional support to help students engage in learning. - Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to support student success. - Maintain confidentiality and follow school policies. ### Qualifications & Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred). - Experience working with students with speech and language needs (preferred). - Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff. - Strong communication, patience, and organizational skills. - Ability to follow SLP guidance and therapy plans. - CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
