Rite Care is an evening learning center for at-risk male and female youth, located at the Genesee County Juvenile Justice Center. Students will report to the ELC afterschool to participate in evidence based groups, skill building, tutoring, mentoring, case management and other structured activities during the time of day that is the highest risk for anti-social behaviors. Rite Care will operate as a diversion program for youth at risk of becoming involved in the Juvenile Justice System, or those who are currently involved and need additional community support. 

Pay: Starting at $20/hour

What you will do: What you will do: The Paraprofessional works as an active team member of the Education Department, providing instructional services to students. This position takes direction from certified staff to deliver and assist in instruction of classes and implements effective classroom management strategies. The Paraprofessional will conduct small group instruction, as well as individual instruction to students, as necessary. You will be required to track attendance, maintain weekly grades, and ensure student grades are available and posted.

To be considered you should: Possess an Associate’s Degree ~ Have obtained an active Parapro Certification ~ Be at least 21 years of age ~ Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test ~ Be able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry ~ Must be able to meet the requirements of an ROP-eligible driver, including having an valid Driver’s License
