Parent and Student Services Advisor

Requirements The Parent and Student Services Advisor (PSSA) provides frontline customer care for all students and their families, aligning with Georgetown’s brand and reputation. The PSSA manages student and family inquiries and addresses various issues related to admissions, academic processes, student life, and campus services. The primary areas of responsibility are: Customer Service + Serve as the first point of contact for student/family inquiries and issues. + Provide excellent customer service, ensuring students and their families receive timely and accurate information and assistance. + Serve as a liaison for parents/students and escalate issues as necessary to the leadership team. Outreach and Communication + Manage and maintain effective communication with students' families via phone and email. + Collaborate with academic and administrative staff to address and communicate important updates or changes. + Monitor course waitlists and serve as a point of contact for registration updates. Forms Completion + Oversee the timely and accurate completion of all required forms by students. + Communicate with campus health and safety partners to ensure compliance, especially for residential students. Other Duties as Assigned + Collaborate with other university departments on special projects and initiatives related to Summer Programs. + Work with the Marketing Team to edit and update the Summer website. + Provide support for the Summer Team during outreach webinars. Work Interactions The Parent and Student Service Advisor (PSSA) reports directly to the Lead Parent and Student Service Advisor. The PSSA interacts with internal and external stakeholders. Internal stakeholders include but are not limited to SCS Marketing, SCS Admissions/Enrollment Management, GOCard/UIS, OGE/OGS, Public Health Team, and SCS Operations. External stakeholders are primarily students and families but also include partner/network schools, Kaplan University Partners, and other prospective partners. Requirements and Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree or 1-3 years of customer service experience in a higher education setting + Knowledge of the student lifecycle and student information systems is helpful not required + Candidate should be detailed oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities + Ability to work effective in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities Work Mode Designation This position has been designated as Hybrid. This position may work remotely from September 1st through March 31st but must be in-person at least two days a week April 1st through August 31st at a designated SCS campus location. In rare circumstances, this position may be expected to provide support for student check-ins on weekends. Work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University. Such review may necessitate a change to a position’s mode of work designation. Pay Range: The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $20.16 - $31.30 Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
