Parent & Family Peer Support Specialist
Purpose:  Behavioral Health Peer Support Specialists support others in their recovery and wellness journey by providing hope and inspiration, sharing their experiences with and knowledge of the behavioral health system, and helping make lifestyle changes that lead to better whole-health outcomes.   Job Summary:  The Parent & Family Peer Support Specialist on the Intensive Family Services team will work with youth and their families in individual, group, and family settings, assisting them with navigating systems, instilling hope for recovery, and supporting utilization of skills that focus on coping with crisis, managing big emotions, improving relationships and mindfulness.   You Will: Do you love working with teens? Do you have lived experience receiving mental health and/or substance use services? Are you able to support parents of youth with intense mental health and/or substance use issues? Are you ready to help clients navigate complicated systems: social services, justice systems, school systems? You will report to the Program Manager Is that a YES?
