PARK SERVICES SUPERVISOR-PARK SERVICES -GF (TEMP/VARIES)

SUMMARY:

Responsible for the coordination, administration and direction of all activities relating to the operations of Park Services department, ensuring compliance with established policies, procedures and controls of the Resort.

Pearl River Resort Associates are required, on a continual basis to…

 Adhere to any and all company and departmental policies, practices and procedures.

Contribute to a safe work environment, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.

        Maintain a professional departmental, company and community reputation.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Welcomes customers to the park in a friendly, courteous manner. Follow all rules, regulations, policies and procedures for the property area and assist in protecting and safeguarding all property assets. Develop departmental standards and procedures by which the highest degree of cleanliness, maintenance, and aesthetic value is achieved. Ensure that all Associates have been trained and all supporting documentation is accurate and up to date. Prepare purchases for the department to be approved by the Operations Manager. Analyze and calculate labor cost and stay within established budget guidelines. Oversee coordination of and administration of all park service programs and projects. Responsible for scheduling the Park Services Department associates. Perform the day-to-day operations of Park Services; maintain inventory, including the removal of garbage and maintaining the cleanliness of the park. Must comply with all MSDS guidelines. Must be able to push or pull a trash bin in excess of up to 200 to 300 pounds. Maintains a working knowledge of facilities/outlets and special and upcoming events on property, in order to advise customers of same, whenever possible. Leads by setting a positive example to all associates. Communicates important, relevant information to following shift. Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.

AGE and GAMING:

21 years of age or above. Non – Gaming property

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED is required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees and one on one.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Essential responsibilities include physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least fifty (50) pounds, and standing/walking 100% of the shift.  Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, reach, twist, and grip throughout shift. Work with hazardous chemicals while wearing latex, vinyl, or rubber gloves.   This position is required to work in outside weather conditions and may perform responsibilities and/or essential functions on slippery or wet surfaces as well as exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles and extreme weather/heat.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an Associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud.  When on the casino floor or other designated areas may be subjected to tobacco smoke. 

Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Associates must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
