ASM Global, the world’s leader in venue and event management, is looking for part-time Parking Attendants to join our team and support a variety of functions at The Oncenter Convention Center, Arena, and Theaters. ______________________________________________________________ FLSA Status: Part-Time/Non-Exempt Available Shifts: Varies Union Code: Non-Union Union Dues: No Min Pay Rate: $16.00/hour Max Pay Rate: $16.00/hour ______________________________________________________________ THE ROLE As a Parking Attendant at The Oncenter, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation, direction, and control of traffic in our parking lot and covered garage, greeting guests as they park, and selling parking tickets for facility events and/or day parkers. WHAT TO EXPECT + Perform set up and teardown duties utilizing manual labor skills to support arena operations and all related functions and events including, but not limited to, dressing rooms, meeting rooms, banquet spaces, concourse areas, and ancillary entrances as they relate to the need for tables, chairs, furniture, pipe and drape, barricades, bike rack, furniture, etc. in preparation for events. + Greet guests and sell tickets while always maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor. + Collect payments from guests either entering or exiting the facility(ies). + Count and verify number of tickets assigned and reconcile at end of shift. + Direct traffic to parking spots as needed. + Provide security services and report all incidents appropriately. + Be present and alert at all times while on duty. + Communicate effectively with guests and coworkers, including radio contact. + Clean up trash and other debris around facility(ies) as needed. + Maintain predictable and reliable attendance. + Additional tasks as requested by supervisor or management. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE + High School Diploma or GED. + At least 1+ year in a guest services role. + Must be able to pass a background check. + Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary. SKILLS YOU’LL NEED + Strong mathematical skills. + Self-starter and able to operate under minimal supervision to accomplish work tasks. + Excellent hospitality and customer service skills, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette. + Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. + Some knowledge of radio communication. + Acute sense of judgment, tact, and diplomacy. PHYSICAL ABILITIES + Must be able to stand for long periods of time. + This position may require you to work both indoors and outdoors as required. + Position requires walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 25 lbs+, and occasional sitting. _______________________________________________________ NOTE: This description portrays in general terms the type and levels of work performed and is not intended to be all-inclusive or to represent specific duties of anyone incumbent.
