PARKING LOT CARETAKER Job Description DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: This position is responsible for directing traffic in a school or municipal parking lot. TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES: Directs traffic and pedestrians in a parking lot; Keeps traffic flowing and directs vehicles to parking and drop off areas; Directs students, parents and/or visitors to buildings; Sets up and removes signage outside of buildings for specific parking events; Performs related duties as required. FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS: Good social and general intelligence; ability to be courteous yet firm with the public; good judgment; dependability; ability and willingness to work in inclement weather; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
