Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Part TIme Bookkeeper (20-30 hours during regular business hours) in the real estate, property management, and general contracting industry located in Portland, Maine. The role involves working closely with various teams, and it is essential to be familiar with the local area. Responsibilities: • Handling account reconciliation tasks with precision • Accurately managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Conducting bank reconciliations on a regular basis • Maintaining the company's bookkeeping activities in an organized manner • Ensuring data is entered accurately into the system • Proficiently using Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks • Assisting in month-end close procedures • Processing payroll in a timely and accurate manner • Utilizing QuickBooks for diverse accounting and financial tasks. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is a must. • Experience managing Accounts Payable (AP) is required. • Ability to handle Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential. • Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations is necessary. • Solid understanding of Bookkeeping principles is needed. • High-speed, accurate Data Entry skills are crucial. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is expected. • Experience in Month End Close procedures is required. • Knowledge of Payroll procedures and regulations is needed. • Proficiency in using QuickBooks is a significant advantage.
