**Position Summary**
The Jeremy C. Thurston ’00 Center for Career Readiness is seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to serve as a Part-Time Career Coach and Administrative Support team member. This role is responsible for providing career coaching services to students and alumni while offering essential administrative support to ensure the Center operates efficiently.

**Major Responsibilities**
**Career Coaching (50%)**
+ Assist students and alumni with career planning, job search strategies, and professional development.
+ Provide guidance on developing resumes, cover letters, personal statements, and LinkedIn profiles tailored to specific industries.
+ Conduct mock interviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance interview performance.
+ Deliver workshops and presentations on career-related topics, such as networking, internships, and career exploration.
+ Stay informed about current labor market trends and share insights with students.
**Administrative Support (50%)**
+ Serve as the point of contact for students and visitors, answering inquiries via phone, email, and in-person.
+ Assist with planning and execution of events including career fairs, workshops, employer visits, and other career-related events.
+ Manage and update career resources, including job boards, guides, and website content.
+ Utilize Handshake to maintain accurate records of student interactions and services provided.
**Work Schedule**
+ 20 hours per week with flexibility to adjust hours based on the Career Center’s needs and event schedule.

**Education & Experience Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google, familiarity with career management platforms (i.e. Handshake)
**Minimum Skills/Abilities**
+ Organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
+ Experience coordinating events or workshops
+ Previous experience with career coaching, student advising, or human resources _preferred_
+ Knowledge of career development theories and tools _preferred_
