Part Time/Casual Customer Care Assistants, Cornell Retail Services

The Cornell Store’s Customer Care Department is in search of part-time/casual staff who are dependable, and motivated individuals that enjoy working in a team environment and delight in making every customer service experience legendary.

As part of The Cornell Store, a recognized leader in collegiate retailing innovation, the Customer Care Department supports the digital and in-store shopping experience and looks to solve problems so our customers can get back to shopping!

Hire Rate: starting at $16.25 /hour

Schedule: Variable, based on availability, business needs, and work performance; some nights, weekends and holidays may be required

All positions are part-time casual (19 hours per week or less), non-benefits eligible.

General Responsibilities:

Process transactions such as sales orders, returns and exchanges

Provide outstanding customer service to external and internal customers by sharing product knowledge and providing solutions on a consistent basis

Respond to inquiries from internal and external customers and help to handle escalated customer issues

Identify, analyze and solve ambiguous problems independently paying close attention to details

Communicate, collaborate and build strong relationships with team members across multiple divisions

In this role, we require:

A positive friendly demeanor towards customers and coworkers to demonstrate superior customer services

Dependable attendance & punctuality as well as flexibility around your schedule based on business needs.

Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks

Moderate computer/systems competency

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to sit for long periods of time
