Description:Concentration Coordinator:
• Report (s) to the Program Chair, who must be designated and responsible for the coordination of concentration(s) for the program’s Abdomen-Extended/ Obstetrics and Gynecology Concentration.Concentration Coordinator must: possess an academic degree no lower than an Bachelor's degree possess the appropriate credential (RDMS) specific to the concentration(s) that s/he is designated to coordinate  have documented experience in supervision, instruction, evaluation, student guidance, and in educational theories and techniquehave at least two years of clinical experience as a registered sonographer in the professional sonography field. Develop, design, and deliver instruction in collaboration with the course coordinator and review and assist with revision as needed for department policies and proceduresProvide course syllabi for instruction in collaboration with the Clinical CoordinatorDevelop, design, and deliver instruction in collaboration with the course coordinatorParticipate in student advising and mentoring, formulate and administer student competencies as neededEngage in the academic roles of teaching, service, scholarship and serviceGrade examinations and assignments and review evaluations with students, meet all established deadlines set by the College for testing assignments and grade submissionsReview and assist with revisions needed for department policies and proceduresIdentify and recommend to the Department Chair appropriate community agency linkages for student learning experiences

Documentation of experience in educational theories and techniques may include completed college courses, seminars, or in-service sessions on topics including, but not limited to, learning theory, curriculum design, test construction, teaching methodology, or assessment techniques. a
