About the Roles

Several BMA Mine Sites across the Bowen Basin are currently seeking multiple Dragline Operators for permanent part-time roster opportunities. These roles play a key role in day-to-day mining operations, ensuring efficiency and safety at all times. 
  

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
 

Demonstrated commitment to safety, health, the community and the environment 

Lifestyle Roster Working cooperatively within a team to achieve safe production targets 

Contributes to the operation of mobile machinery and other plant in an open cut environment 

Apply technical expertise to solve problems and deliver for the customer. 

These roles would be suited to individuals based in the Bowen Basin, Mackay region of Central Queensland or Brisbane or Cairns as these roles are being offered on a variety of travel models - residential, drive-in-drive-out (DIDO) and limited fly-in-fly-out (FIFO) from Brisbane or Cairns. Accommodation is provided in one of our Villages whilst working on roster. 

Working part-time you would be required to perform a range of mostly 12.5 hour shifts, on rotating days only or day/night roster patterns, up to a 50% full-time roster equivalent.
 

About You
Successful candidates will possess the following: 
 

Current Dragline Operating experience with open-cut mining experience 

HR licence or site Heavy Rigid authorisation 

A genuine commitment to safety 

Motivated, enthusiastic individual who can work with minimal supervision and engage in team operations 

Minimum C Class Driver’s licence
