We are seeking a part-time Quality Control Lab Technician role in East Granby, CT. The role **offers apprenticeship hours** towards an electrical certification! The hours are very flexible (day time hours) and we are looking for 20-30 hours per week. Job Duties: + Qualification testing of incoming materials, as well as wire and cable, in accordance with industry/internal procedures. + Set up test procedures and perform a wide variety of quality control inspections/tests involving specialized knowledge of test equipment and of effects of process variables on product, particularly in terms of usage of materials. + Assist in analyzing customer complaints and returns and development of their satisfactory resolution. This will include determining the root cause analysis to resolve issues and recommending and developing processes eliminating further complaints. + Record and maintain accurate data of all testing performance in accordance with documented procedures. + Numerous contacts with all levels of management, including factory supervisors, machine operators, development engineers, process engineers, and technicians. Tact required in building and maintaining relationships. Occasional contacts with outside technical representatives and customer source inspectors. + Assist Q.C. Manager in instructing and training hourly employees in measurements and responsibilities; keeping records and interpreting data and results; carry out special assignments by the Q.C. Manager. + Perform scrap data entry and analysis. Pay: $20-$22/hr **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
