The Role

We are seeking an Entry Level Payroll Officer to join our team at our Subiaco Head Office.

This role is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone wanting a career change into payroll, to gain hands-on experience, fill their curiosity, and develop their skills in payroll processing.

You will assist in performing payroll for two or more payrolls, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the team with payroll-related tasks and queries. We are looking for someone with strong attention to detail, a flexible and proactive work style, and a keen interest in building a career in payroll.

Permanent part-time opportunity.

Responsibilities include:

Establish and maintain accurate weekly payroll processes using PayGlobal (end-to-end payroll) Ensure accuracy of payroll records by maintaining database with updates/changes Maintain employee records for new hires, pay changes, and terminations Review timesheets and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies Assist in managing and processing superannuation contributions Communicate with stakeholders to ensure smooth payroll process and operations Liaise with, and support the HR and Finance teams Work closely with our Payroll Supervisors and Manager to improve data capture and processing efficiencies within payroll

The successful applicant will ideally have:

Good communication and organisational skills, with an emphasis on teamwork A positive attitude towards safety, training & environment Focused on continuous improvement and ongoing learning Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and results oriented Good people skills – assertive and direct while being a good listener Very comfortable with computers, technology and systems Ability to follow directions, ask questions and want to learn Be motivated and driven. Previous HR or finance experience (desirable)
