The Grounds Helper position offers an opportunity to contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of our outdoor spaces. This part-time, seasonal role entails assisting with various grounds maintenance tasks for up to 25 hours weekly, with the potential to transition into a permanent part-time position.
Responsibilities Lawn Upkeep: Ensure the lawns are well-maintained by mowing, edging, and watering as needed to uphold a neat and tidy appearance.Trash Removal: Regularly patrol the grounds to collect and dispose of litter and debris, contributing to a clean and inviting environment for residents and visitors.Weeding: Identify and remove weeds from flowerbeds, pathways, and other landscaped areas to preserve the aesthetic quality of the grounds and promote the health of plants.Raking/Sweeping: Perform raking and sweeping tasks to clear leaves, branches, and other debris from walkways, parking lots, and common areas, enhancing safety and appearance.Facilities/cleaning: May occasionally help with cleaning and maintenance of buildings.Running Equipment: Position may require use of tractors, UTVs and other small equipment. Advertised Salary $10.00 to $13.00 an hour, commensurate on experience ADAThis position requires moderate physical activity. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position including moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds), walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and squatting. This position requires nearly continuous standing, repetitive hand motions, and reaching overhead.
