A client based on the Buckinghamshire/Oxfordshire border is currently looking for an experienced and proactive Housekeeper to join the team, for a 12-month maternity cover contract.
You will be part of the Operations Department and placed in a dual role that works across the Estate and be provided with support and guidance from the other departments.
The successful candidate is required to set and maintain high standards of cleanliness and to ensure the readiness of the properties for use. You will also be responsible for preserving the good condition of infrastructure and ensure that facilities are safe, cared for correctly and well-functioning.
Job specification:
• Predicting and responding to daily requirements on the Estate
• Participating in the weekly Events Department meeting
• Completing weekly checks around the Estate
• Weekly and daily hands-on housekeeping including – general cleaning all areas, laundry, and ironing bed linen, making beds, preparing for guests, deep cleaning
• Reporting any damages or required works to the Head of Engineering and sourcing quotes if needed or asked to do so
• Organising the contract for sanitary waste disposal seasonal and annually
• Organising and proactively managing the cleaning contractors for the general weekly cleaning and deep cleaning
• Administrative duties such as checking cleaning invoices, creating, and updating the Estate cleaning schedule and updating inventory following events
• Organising window cleaning throughout the year
• Ensuring events venues, areas and loos are stocked correctly with cleaning products and loo items prior to events plus stocking and restocking cleaning kits for the events season
• Completing check-ins and outs of venues and areas to support the team
• Arranging end of tenancy cleans, completing checks and doing an inventory when required
• Checking standards are kept, dealing with complaints, and implementing systems / and or standard operating procedures to improve the smooth running of operations, activities, venues, and areas
• Organising ad hoc cleaning during seasons
• Writing scopes of work for maintaining of high-quality cleaning standards for the venues and areas used for events and family
Candidate specification:
• A driver is ideally preferred for ease to travel to work
• A high attention to detail and precision
• Being knowledgeable on a wide range of areas related to the role
• Being a good communicator and listener to address challenges
• Being efficient, discreet, responsible, and organised
