Instructor will teach Dual Credit CNA classes through Schulenburg ISD in collaboration with other area HS. Essential Duties • Provides instruction for CNA program at Schulenburg High School and others as agreed upon in articulation agreement between area high schools.
• Demonstrates a commitment to student engagement, student success, and instructional excellence.
* Maintains office hours as set by the College/ISD.
• Prepares and utilizes a course syllabus which includes stated objectives for the course and assessments for each course according to current guidelines established by the institution.
• Maintains current knowledge of effective teaching methodologies and utilizes a variety of instructional delivery methods (particularly supplemental, blended or on-line instruction), classroom media, educational resources and related instructional theories.
• Provides a grade evaluation on each students’ performance through a variety of means to measure progress and keep them informed in a timely fashion and frequency required by the College.
• Assists in the development, distribution and collection of assessments for courses and program objectives.
• Provides recommendations to the Program Director, Academic Dean, and Curriculum Resource Team regarding curriculum additions, deletions, or revisions.
• Demonstrates a positive and professional relationship with students, colleagues, college administration, and the community.
• Submits timely college reports and forms to the appropriate divisions/departments.
• Demonstrates effective communication skills, both written and orally.
Performs other program related tasks, and attend part-time faculty meetings as assigned. Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 3 years work experience in the nursing field.
1 year of experience in a LTC facility or other work experience as approved by DADS.
Preferred Experience and Training Registered Nurse in the State of Texas with a minimum of an Associate’s degree in nursing. Physical Requirements Normal duties as required in nursing. Required Degree, License or Certifications Licensed Nurse in the State of Texas with an Associate’s degree or higher.
