Join us. **What You Will Do:** As an HR intern at Caterpillar, you will perform challenging work, while being exposed to a variety of HR functions. We are looking for someone who isn’t afraid to get involved in the many areas of the talent lifecycle, ask questions, be a problem solver and want to help the business be successful – all while you learn on the job. You’ll work alongside and support the team’s goals. This internship is supporting our Global Finance Services Division, which provides comprehensive finance services for the enterprise and supports the finance-related functions of the business units, including accounting and reporting, pricing, information technology, strategy, economics, compliance, and sales and operations planning. The division includes Corporate Accounting, Business Economics, Global Pricing, Financial Planning & Analysis, Mergers & Acquisitions, Global Business Services and Corporate Treasury, as well as Indirect Procurement, Global Travel, Corporate Real Estate and Global Facilities. Total weekly hours are flexible based upon the student’s schedule and will be agreed upon during the offer. **What You Have:** **Education/Experience:** + Must be enrolled full time at a 4-year accredited university/college + Minimum 2.8/4.0 Cumulative GPA (no rounding) + Expected graduation date of December 2025 and beyond + Completed semester hours at a 4-year university prior to start of internship or currently participating in a Caterpillar student program **Skills:** **Decision Making and Critical Thinking:** Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. **Effective Communications:** Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. **Interpersonal Relationships:** Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner. **Data Gathering and Reporting:** Knowledge of tools, techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company. **Top Candidates Will Also Have:** + Previous Human Resources internship or leadership experience + Strategic mindset + Ability to demonstrate high-level of intellectual curiosity + High-quality computer literacy to navigate Workday and Microsoft Office 365 + Strong decision making and initiative + Excellent customer focus **Additional Info:** Primary location: Peoria, IL Some on-sight work possible; Must be within 50 miles of Peoria, IL Sponsorship is not available This posting will close at midnight on March 7th, 2025 **Summary Pay Range:** $22.50 - $39.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
