Part Time Laboratory Specimen Processor

SynergenX is looking for a Lab Specimen Processor to join our team!\n

POSITION IS ONLY PART-TIME. UP TO 29 HOURS PER WEEK\n

General Description: Specimen processors are primarily responsibilities includes checking a specimen's information for accuracy, entering specimen information into the computer, and ensuring the right department receives the specimen and information. They may be responsible for testing, but if so, it is likely that they are only assigned basic tests; more complex tests are performed by professional laboratory technicians.\n
\n

Job Skills and Responsibilities:\n

\u00b7 Verifying accuracy of client and specimen details.\n

\u00b7 Examining specimens for adequacy and appropriateness.\n

\u00b7 Capturing client and specimen data electronically.\n

\u00b7 Sanitizing benchtops.\n

\u00b7 Labeling, numbering specimens, and preparing aliquots to be sent out if needed.\n

\u00b7 Centrifuging specimens.\n

\u00b7 Disposing of specimens more than seven days old.\n

\u00b7 Assisting clients and phlebotomists with inquiries pertaining to specimens' requirements and test turnaround times.\n

\u00b7 Complying with applicable laws and regulations, and company procedures and policies.\n

\u00b7 Loading and unloading specimens onto\/from instruments.\n

\u00b7 Performing QA\/QC duties (eyewash checks, temperature logs, etc.)\n

\u00b7 Completing training checklists and competency testing appropriately.\n

\u00b7 Following all PPE requirements.\n

\u00b7 All other duties as assigned.\n

Requirements:\n\n\n

High School Diploma\n\n\n

3 months experience working as a Lab Specimen Processor, required.\n\n\n

1 year experience working as a Lab Specimen Processor, preferred. \n\nYou must be able to train for 2 straight weeks Monday to Friday 8-5pm, then your Part Time hours will start.\n\n

Shifts:\n

Position will float between the 3 shifts AM, PM and overnight.\n

AM: 6am to 2:30pm\n

PM: 2pm to 10:30pm\n

Overnight: 10pm to 6:30am\n

You receive your schedule a month in advance.\n

Position is up to 29 hours per week,\n

Some weekend hours could be included\n

Hours worked during 5pm-5am earns an extra $1.50 pay differential.
