Recruitment/Posting Title Part Time Lecturer -Systems Theory and Analysis Department GSAPP - Clinical Psychology Salary Salary per Credit Posting Summary The Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP), Rutgers University invites applications for Part-Time Lecturer (PTL) teaching positions to teach a semester long course (Spring, 2022) in Systems Theory and Analysis (18:820:508) which is part of our required course sequence covering topics of systems theory, community psychology, and social impacts of systems functioning. Expertise in systems, community, and organizational theory and application is highly sought.  The goal of the course is to help students  a) use systems theory to better understand and deal with the social forces that affect them and their clients; b) become familiar with the organizational dynamics of schools, clinics, hospitals, and other human service organizations; c) learn about how systems concepts are used as a theoretical foundation for work with individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities; d) become familiar with the systemic factors that affect the implementation and dissemination of evidence-based treatment programs; e) learn about the basic principles of community psychology and prevention; and f) become familiar with evidence-based prevention programs. A prepared syllabus is available for review. Candidates will assume primary responsibility for developing or refining the course syllabus, presenting high quality lectures, running class discussions and other teaching activities, and evaluating students based on course expectations and program-wide competencies. PTL’s are expected to adhere to high quality instructional practices that integrate multiple modalities and approaches, such as whole class lecture, small group activities, videos, role playing etc.  The course is anticipated to be taught in-person in Spring, 2022 with the possibility for hybrid or online formats, pending conditions and regulations.
