Part-Time Legal Review Specialist Location Trenton, NJ Job Code 761 Apply Now (https://phh.tbe.taleo.net/phh03/ats/careers/v2/applyRequisition?org=NEWJERSH2&cws=40&rid=761) NOTICE OF VACANCY THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE NEW JERSEY HOUSING AND MORTGAGE FINANCE AGENCY INVITES APPLICATIONS FROM QUALIFIED CANDIDATES FOR THE FOLLOWING: Job Title: Part-Time Legal Review Specialist Salary Range: $60.00/Hour Division: Loan Closings FL Status: Non-Exempt Issue Date: 2/10/25 Closing Date: 4/13/25 Union Status: Non-Union, Non-Exempt Employment Status: Part time JOB DESCRIPTION Assist Paralegals and Loan Closings Division Staff with the review of legal agreements, including, but not limited to leases, contracts of sale, condominium documents, Development Agreements, PILOTs and operating agreements. Ability to review and comment on deficiencies in title commitments, pro forma policies and surveys. Ability to review loan commitments and board actions. Ability to craft language to protect the Agency and ensure compliance with Agency Statutes, Regulations and program guidelines. Ability to review and understand bond documents for conduit loan transactions. Interface with internal staff and external partners such as developers, investors, institutional lenders and their counsel. Ability to draft and review loan documents for multi-million-dollar multi-family transactions. Special projects as assigned by the Division Director. Must be organized and experienced in the review and analysis of real estate and financial legal documents. This is a hybrid 2-3 day/week position requiring some in-person and remote work. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education / Experience: Juris Doctorate; Background in real estate law, conduit and sophisticated lending experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience Physical Demands: Non-physical Working Conditions: This is a hybrid position requiring some in-person and remote work.
