Part-time LPN 1.1
The 1:1 School LPN/LVN identifies and treats health disorders among students in the school setting. The 1:1 School LPN/LVN provides instruction for the student’s general wellbeing and disease prevention. The School LPN/LVN monitors the student’s physical conditions in the school setting and refers the student to appropriate resources as needed. The work of the School LPN/LVN is performed in compliance with his/her LPN/LVN scope of practice and according to state education codes. Minimum Requirements: + Current LPN/LVN license for the state in which the nurse practices + Current PPD or Chest X-Ray + One year prior professional nursing experience in school setting preferred + Pediatric experience preferred + Current BLS card + Considerable knowledge of medical disorders and treatment + Considerable knowledge of child growth and development + Some knowledge of public health problems and procedures for treatment in coordination with other health and social service agencies + Some knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations affecting the delivery of school health services + Understands the school organization and the community served + Must be at least 18 years of age Modality: 1:1 LPN (Des Plains, IL) Grade Level Preschool Caseload Details: + + Wheelchair bound, Seizure plan, Supplemental oxygen, Gtube (possible feedings needed, dependent on schedule) + Bussing required - student lives about 2mi away + Child centered and focused, medically inclined, able to work independently and self-sufficient + Confirmed they would utilize the nurse for ESY and would want the nurse to continue with the student NSY + Student is in afternoon class this year, next year may be switched to morning (tbd) + June 23-July 17, M-Th 8a-12p Start/End Date: TBD Start/End time: 12:00p-3:15p Benefits At Amergis, we firmly believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we are happy to offer the following benefits: + Competitive pay & weekly paychecks + Health, dental, vision, and life insurance + 401(k) savings plan + Awards and recognition programs *Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.
