Objective Provide necessary technical assistance for scheduled events. Required Quals Summary -Associate of Arts degree that includes at least 12 hours of Theatre Arts Courses OR significant related workplace experience in lieu of educational credits.
-In-depth knowledge of performing arts, lighting equipment and design, audio equipment, theatre equipment/facility maintenance.
-Journey-level skills in electrical, carpentry, audio, and rigging.
-Ability to perform heavy lifting, climb stairs and ladders, work long hours, and have a flexible schedule.
-Ability to trouble-shoot technical and personnel issues which are relative to the execution of events and performances.
-Experience in safe operation of power tools

Principal Accountabilities 1. Provide necessary technical assistance for scheduled events such as Performing Arts Series, Theatre Arts Series, and other Blinn College Productions. This is done in coordination with the Technical Theatre Director.
2. Coordinate and execute technical needs for events scheduled by all outside entities
3. Schedule and provide maintenance for all auditorium technical equipment, working with both Blinn College Maintenance Staff and/or outside specialists as needed.
4. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications 1. Associates Degree with at least 12 hours of Theatre Arts (DRAM) course work OR at least one year of related technical theater experience in lieu of educational credits. Minimum Competencies

Minimum Competencies 1. In-depth knowledge of performing arts, lighting equipment and design, audio equipment, theatre equipment/facility maintenance.
2. Journey-level skills in electrical, carpentry, audio, and rigging.
3. Flexible schedule that could include nights and weekends.
4. Ability to trouble-shoot technical issues which are relative to the execution of events and performances.
5. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
6. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software on both PC and IOS platforms.
7. Experience in safe operation of power tools.
8. Ability to work cooperatively with staff, faculty, students and the community. Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications 1. BA, BS, or BFA with a concentration in arts management, technical theatre or other closely related area.
2. Experience in theater management, technical operations and scheduling programs and events with a campus performing arts facility. Preferred Competencies

Preferred Competencies 1. OSHA Ten-Hour General Industry certification
2. OSHA Ten-Hour Construction Training certification
