POSITION SUMMARY
The Benefit Coordinator supports all aspects of the company’s benefit programs with focus on benefit enrollment, providing team member support, processing benefit invoices, and ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and company policy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates the benefit eligibility and enrollment process for new hires, transfers, status changes, and annual open enrollment.Assists with developing and modifying benefit enrollment materials and processes. Ensures that team members are aware of their responsibilities and receive required benefit notices and documentation.Participates in coordinating and supporting open enrollment. Assists with benefit fairs and ambassador training, answers team members enrollment questions, and troubleshooting technical issues.Provides a high level of customer service and communicates with team members regarding their benefit inquiries. Provides prompt and comprehensive responses to inquiries into the benefit email and hotline.Assists Benefit Manager in providing benefit training for leaders and benefit ambassadors to educate on benefit offerings and open enrollment.Supports the benefit team in performing routine audits of benefit systems and reports to ensure compliance and data integrity.Processes and responds to Medical Support Orders and ensures children are enrolled according to the terms in the order.Provides administrative support for the benefits team including processing incoming and outgoing mail, updating, and sorting files, maintaining spreadsheets, drafting and proofreading correspondence, conducting research and preparing packets, binders and training materials as requested.Supports benefit team with benefits administration including vendor relationships, invoices, and retirement plan support.Maintains accurate benefit documentation and records in accordance with legal requirements and documentation best practices.Maintains benefits policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to reflect current benefit processes.Participates as a member of the benefit team in continuous process improvement initiatives to drive efficiencies and enhance benefit programs. Participates in benefit projects as assigned.Collaborates with other departments including human resources, legal, payroll and IT to ensure accurate benefit programming and compliance with employment laws and CBAs.Practices technical and professional self-development including staying informed on regulatory changes, local, state, and federal employment and leave laws and benefit trends.Other duties as assigned.COMPANY WIDE RESPONSIBILITIES

1 year of experience in office support, human resources, benefits, recruitment, or related experience preferred. Ability to successfully multi-task and effectively prioritize work. Ability to be flexible, organized, and detailed-oriented. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Effective interpersonal and customer service skills.
EDUCATION
Associate’s degree in business or related field; or equivalent combination of education and skills obtained through a combination of education, training and experience.

PTO:
AL/PCI Salary: Accrue PTO at rate of 0.0615/hour during their first year/16 days.
PCI Hourly: Full-time and Part-Time team members (over 20 hours/week) accrue PTO at rate of 0.0423/hour during their first year.
