Job Description:
Responsible for receiving incoming telephone calls in a prompt and courteous manner, greeting patients, verifying demographic/insurance, collecting co-payments/deductibles, and various clerical duties.
Job Responsibility:
Promptly and professionally answers telephone calls, and if appropriate routes them appropriately.Organizes messages and delivers them promptly to the necessary individual.Greet patients and guests in a courteous and professional manner.Verify insurance coverage and demographic information.Obtain insurance referrals and authorizations.Direct patients to appropriate waiting or clinical areas.Explain financial obligation to patients or responsible parties and collect. copayments/co-insurance/deductibles as required.Facilitate or create appointments for follow-up care, diagnostics procedures, physical therapy, or pain management.Other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.Varying shifts between the hours of: 7:30am - 8pm1-2 late nights (11:30am-8pm) requiredRotating weekend (1/month) requiredJob Qualification:
High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED).Minimum one year of relevant experience working in a medical facility or related field.Minimum one year experience in customer service or reception, preferably in a health care environment.*Additional Salary Detail
