Cultivate Learning, a center within the College of Education, is leading the development of a new leadership development program to support district and early education leaders and principals across Washington State in the planning and implementation of early learning programs within their system, include Transition to Kindergarten programs. The WA Early Learning Leadership Development Program is being developed as a signature learning experience for K-12 district and early education leaders who need a foundation in inclusion and developmentally appropriate practice in order to support equity and inclusion in their schools and centers. Cultivate Learning has an outstanding opportunity for a Director to lead the planning and implementation of this new program. Reporting to the Cultivate Learning Executive Director, this position will be a member of the leadership team at Cultivate Learning. **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** **Program Design, Curriculum Development, Instruction and Evaluation** + Lead creation of leadership development program curriculum and unique learning opportunities in collaboration with COE faculty. + Lead professional development sessions in person and online for leadership development program. + Recruit, screen and admit participants for the Washington Early Learning Leadership Development Certificate program by working with communications team to develop recruitment materials, and providing webinars, and sessions at relevant meetings and conferences. + Develop evaluation components, collect data from participants and track progress over time through data analysis and assessments. **Strategic Planning** + Plan and facilitate meetings with Washington Early Learning Leadership Development Advisory Committee, incorporate feedback into the program design and implementation. + Maintain knowledge of current educational initiatives and strategically build relationships with key stakeholders, including WA State leaders at DCYF and OSPI to align program components with state initiatives. + Work with the Dean of the College of Education and her staff to ensure alignment with funding requirements. + Communicate with certificate participants in between sessions. **Budget, Program and Team Management** + Lead planning and implementation to ensure the program budget is accurate and spending is on track. + Secure funding for program expansion, on an as needed basis + Responsible for successful implementation of all programmatic elements including: + Maintain program website and ensure periodic updates are made + Secure clock hours for participants. + Collaborate with professors/guest speakers to plan and present material + Find and secure guest speakers + Find and secure venues for in-person meetings and confirm that all meeting logistics are managed **MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS** + Master's degree in Education Leadership or related field and + 5+ years of experience as a principal in a public school district or in educational leadership **Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.** **ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS** + Experience with curriculum development + Knowledge of P-3 Framework and Recommended Practices + Experience working with diverse teams + Proven dedication to equity and inclusion **Application Process:** The application process may include completion of a variety of online assessments to obtain additional information that will be used in the evaluation process.
