The Grafton Job Corps Center is seeking a Recreation Specialist to join our team.
Here at Job Corps, we work with students ages 16-24 to provide them the education and career services they need to be successful members of the workforce. This position is a full time role in our recreation department working to supervise our students when they are using our recreation building and taking them on trips to various recreation activities.
This positions works 20 hours per week, primarily at nights and on weekends when students are not in class, providing them with supervision in their recreation.
The pay for this position is $17.20 per hour
POSITION SUMMARYResponsible for working with Recreation team to provide students with a comprehensive and diverse recreation program. Promotes health and wellness through overseeing the recreation activities as outlined on the approved recreation schedule.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates of Arts Degree or 1-year related experience working with youth. Must possess a valid in-State Driver’s License and meet Company insurability requirements. CDL preferred.Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and / or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.
