Part-Time Recreation Leader I (After School - Oscar Johnson Jr Community Center)

JOB SUMMARY\n

With supervision, assists in delivering programs and events directly to the public. Assists with set up and take down for programs and events, performs assigned duties and cursory clean-up of facility as needed, follows all City of Conroe and Center policies and procedures, and is responsible for the care and safety of participants.\n

QUALIFICATIONS\n

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: \n\nKnowledge of cash handling.\nExperience in working with children.\nExperience in communication and customer service.\nExperience with public programs and events.\n\n

Education and Experience:\n

Minimum age of 16 years.\n

Special Requirements:\n\nAbility to obtain relevant certifications within time period designated by supervisor.\n\n

PHYSICAL DEMANDS\n

The work is medium and requires the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and\/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and\/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: crouching, fingering, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, reaching, repetitive motions, speaking, talking, visual acuity and walking.\n

Must pass background check and pre-employment substance abuse screening as a condition of employment. A motor vehicle record check and job-related doctor's physical exam may also be required. Safety-sensitive positions remain subject to random drug and alcohol testing after hire.
