Amergis Staffing is partnered with a much-respected residential school in Springfield, MA who is currently seeking a qualified school nurse to assist them on a contractual basis. Location: Springfield, MA Duration: 13 weeks to start - Ongoing Facility Type: Residential School - RFK Community Alliance Schedule: Mon-Fri,15 hrs/week, 11a-2p Start Date: ASAP Pay: $52/hr Responsibilities Include: + Assist in the management of the school-based Medication Administration Program, consistent with the regulations governing the administration of prescription medications in public and private schools. + Assist in the development and facilitation of health education classes for students. + Maintain student health records. + Oversee and perform all state-mandated programs such as immunization surveillance and screenings (vision and hearing). + Triage of injury, illness, or accident and provide appropriate intervention. + Participate with staff in developing and implementing school health curriculum programs. Requirements: + Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts. + A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in nursing. + A minimum of two years of employment as a Registered Nurse in child health, community health, or other relevant clinical nursing settings.
