Our International Programs is seeking to hire a Part-Time Administrative Support Specialist.

Bilingual Language Required

Bilingual required positions are paid one salary level higher than the current classification. Candidates may be asked to take verbal and written fluency assessments. Location: Main Campus, Downtown Center Classification: Administrative Support Specialist Position Type: Hourly Part-Time Classified Anticipated Start Date: Upon Hire Salary/Wage: Hourly Salary/Wage Range: $18.96 - $27.80 per hour (Classified Hourly Pay Grade 8) Salary/Compensation Statement: Our application is used to determine your initial salary placement for selected candidates. Required Education: High school graduation or equivalent. Required Experience: Two (2) years of general office experience performing the full range of office support duties with extensive public contact and experience with non-native speakers of English. Licensure or Certification Requirements Must have a valid driver’s license.

Position Purpose: The purpose of this position is to provide support to the International Programs retention administrative processes and provide student services for prospective, new and continuing students in student housing and other admin related areas. Essential Functions: Provide general clerical assistance; using office equipment, current technologies and/or file management systems. Input, process, and in coordination with supervisor, analyze data using tools such as Banner, Excel, and google suites while ensuring accuracy of work. Provide retention and administrative support utilizing office specific software such as TargetX, Banner and ability to adapt to software changes. Promptly answer phones, provide referrals as necessary. Support retention team processes and varied student inquiries using clear, concise verbal communication and draft appropriately written responses ensuring that information is promptly sent out. Support housing process. Create leases, communication and coordination with students, staff, Titan Court and agents, update housing records in our database. Support orientations and welcome weeks preparation and activities. Support move In process, arrival days, setting up transportation logistics, airport pick up process and coordination with the team. Support student leader peer mentor program, in coordination with supervisor including training, hiring process, staff meetings, event planning, and community building. Support housing placement including roommate assignments, leases, financial charges. Assist in roommate mediation and conflict resolution for students and roommate situations that arise throughout the year. Provide support in event planning for on campus events, Titan Court events, and day trips and activities through out the year. Drive for day trips and events, airport pick ups, supply purchases, and additional projects. Problem solve and manage sensitive information with appropriate awareness of FERPA standards; maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to the privacy needs of students. Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands/Working Environment: This position works indoors and is exposed to usual office working conditions that include office noises and interruptions, such as printers, telephones, and visitors. This position requires that an employee is able to sit or stand for extended periods of time; perform cognitive and psychometric work for more than six (6) hours a day. Use Microsoft Applications, especially Word, Excel, design software such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite, Google Workspace, and enterprise-wide database software. Composition, grammar, spelling, and editing.


Ability to Communicate effectively with nonnative speakers with varying levels of English capability. Learn and appropriately apply college and department policies and procedures. Type accurately and rapidly. Interact with students, staff and the public from a range of countries and cultures in a pleasant, tactful and courteous manner.
