Overview At Marriott - Colorado Springs, we are seeking skilled Room Attendants who share our commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences. Our Room Attendants play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort for our guests. Key Responsibilities: Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly service-oriented manner. Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Marriot/Pyramid Global Hospitality standards as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working (per brand standards). Comply at all times with Marriott/Pyramid Global Hospitality standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations. Thoroughly clean and restock the required number of guest rooms per shift. Complete all pre-cleaning duties including but not limited to guest supplies cleaning supplies and linen for housekeeping cart set-up. Remove all trash and dirty linen from guest rooms. Collect soiled linens for laundering, make beds, and replenish room supplies. Perform other tasks/jobs as assigned by the supervisor or manager. May be required to disassemble furniture or items in the guest room to conduct deep cleaning. Deep cleaning tasks may include but are not limited to changing the AC filter cleaning the AC coils touching up paint on walls/molding touching up scratched furniture or rehanging closed slide doors. Once property trained, be able to clean a room in around 35 minutes and do a refresh in 7 minutes. Assist in ensuring guest satisfaction through attentive and personalized service. Collaborate effectively with colleagues and communicate well within the team. Qualifications Engage with guests to ensure their stay is going well Work as a team to accomplish the goal of resort/hotel cleanliness Keep work cart orderly and properly stocked Proper utilization of equipment supplies and guest amenities Thorough cleanliness and sanitation of assigned guest areas Daily changing and inspection of linens and towels, following the standards set forth in the Green Program Practice safety standards and be aware of safety hazards, (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks, and suspicious persons) and properly reporting as found Respect for guests’ property should always be exercised Responsible care of equipment Reports to work on time and according to posted schedule, to maintain accurate time records and follows proper standards for issuance of rooms Remain alert, courteous, and helpful to the guests and co-workers always Perform other related duties as requested by Floor Supervisor Weekend availability a must Previous hotel experience preferred. What do we look for in someone to be successful in this role? Someone with housekeeping experience desirable Someone with an engaging, friendly and positive personality Someone with good time management skills Someone able to work on feet for an extended period Someone with the ability to communicate effectively Someone with the ability to move, traverse, position self to reach corners on floors and high places; observe conditions, detect odors, position, and navigate carts weighing up to 100 lbs in tight spaces; operate equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads and dusters.
