Part Time Secondary Speech Pathologist (SLP)

Part Time SLP Position 24-25 School Year

Position Details:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. This individual would be supporting a mixed caseload of Middle School and High School students. The caseload consists of about 35 students, though the part-time role will cover a portion of that. You will have another SLP in each of the buildings to collaborate with! This position offers flexibility and a reduced schedule while still providing the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the school community.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language disorders, including articulation, language, fluency, and pragmatic communication skills.Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.Provide direct therapy services in both individual and group settings to address speech and language goals outlined in IEPs.Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and other related service providers to support students' academic and social-emotional development.Utilize evidence-based practices and innovative strategies to enhance students' communication skills and facilitate progress towards established goals.Monitor and document student progress, adjusting intervention plans as needed to ensure continued growth and achievement.Engage in ongoing professional development activities to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.Foster positive relationships with parents and caregivers through regular communication and involvement in the IEP process.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.Experience working with school-aged children in a school or clinical setting.
