Occasionally the Self-Checkout cashier may be required to assist the customer with their checkouts. Self-Checkout cashiers are required to utilize the Self-Checkout handheld device for scanning large or heavy items. If the handheld device is unavailable and assistance is needed with heavier items request assistance from another associate so that any restrictions on lifting are not violated. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and color and depth perception.

While performing the duties of this job, the individual is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The individual is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Additional Information Posting Date: Jul 28, 2024 Compensation Pay Transparency: Harris Teeter reasonably expects to pay between $13.05/hour and $16.05/hour for this role as a newly hired associate. Pay may depend on previous experience and skill sets of the applicant.
