AVAILABILITY MANDATES:  Holiday, evening and weekend availability is required   Shift times vary between the hours of 6am and 9pm, with some exceptions.   GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Work activities in this position primarily involve the operation and maintenance of the toll booth and assisting in park operations as time permits. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: + Verifies permits and change fund in the morning. + Scan annual permit holder passes as they enter the park.  + Ask park patron for Zip Code data for each annual and daily permit sold. + Collects permit fees from vehicles entering the park. + Utilizes the point of sale system to make all transactions. + Keeps sufficient supply of permits and change on hand and request partial pick-up as needed. + Maintains sufficient supply of park maps and other brochures. + Knowledgeable about park rules, regulations, and policies and information regarding facilities. + Disseminates information to park visitors. + Familiar with current and future special events that may be going on in park and other parks. + Assists park operations as time allows. + Maintains a clean and well-organized toll booth. + Ability to stand and/or sit for several hours in a work area subject to varying weather conditions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: + Must be at least 18 years of age as of the date you'd begin working. + Ability to positively interact with co-workers, supervisors, and park visitors. + Ability to distinguish letters and symbols. + Ability to perform cash and credit transactions quickly and accurately. + Ability to work varied hours depending upon park demands.
