We, as the Smart Grid organization within Siemens Turkey R&D, are focusing on research and development of software products and solutions for Power Grids. We are working together with worldwide partners.

What part will you play?
Working within international software development teams across global locations to research, analyze, design, develop, test, maintain and support commercial application software for electrical power system modeling and analysis, Develop Desktop and/or Web-based applications and components in variety of programming languages according to the contributed project environment under the direction of the development manager(s), Participating and proactively contributing to an agile environment according to SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) process.What you need to make real what matters.
Required Qualifications:
University 3rd year student from a university in a STEM (Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering) field or related departments (suitable to work as a part-time at least 12 months),
Able to work 2.5 days/week, Software development know-how in Object-Oriented Programming practices, Motivation and interest in working on software development for Power Grids, Eager to learn various technologies, programming languages and Power Grids know-how, Ability to document and demonstrate solutions and processes by preparing documentation, diagrams, charts and code comments, Good command of English is a must.Preferable Additional skills/experiences (i.e. is a plus):
Knowledge in one or more of the following programming languages: C/C++, Java, C#, .NET Core, Javascript / Typescript, Fortran or similar, Knowledge on scripting languages (especially in Python), Knowledge in concepts related to Power Grids, Hands-on experience in software tools used for analyzing, planning, simulating and managing Power Grids, Knowledge on full-stack web application development and web services, Understanding of code versioning tools, such as GIT, Understanding of Software life cycle and agile methodologies (especially SAFe framework), Knowledge on file based and/or relational database. Knowledge on Configuration Management Systems,Desired Soft skills:
Excellent interpersonal communication, problem solving and analytical skills, Strong self-organization including ability to work independently and manage time effectively, Teammate with highly collaborative, self-motivated, positive and upbeat attitude, Committed to quality oriented, tidy, and well documented business delivery, Comfortable interpreting and understanding initially unfamiliar concepts.What else do I need to know?
